Our Services

Safeguarding Audits

Safeguarding audits are an integral component within a quality assurance framework. The goal of the audit is to help determine how well our clients meet and excel given standards. We use a risk-based approach to identify and evaluate hazards, their likelihood and potential impact upon our client’s ability to sustain their competitive advantage. Our clients look to us for evidence-based audits that add value by charting a path to continued improvement.

Independent Investigations

When things go wrong, leading organisations embrace the opportunity to learn. They know the importance of a thorough, evidence-based investigation. Our investigation service offers the assurance our clients need. They rely upon our experience, knowledge, and skills to support them to define the scope of the investigation. And once the Terms of Reference are agreed, they trust us to complete the investigation in a timely manner and deliver findings that enable them to act.

Policy Development and Review

Our clients are required to have comprehensive safeguarding policies, procedures, and practices and ensure their continued fitness for purpose. They look to us to provide critical support for their policy development and review programme.

Consultancy, learning and development

Our clients have minimum learning and development requirements for their care and accommodation providers and staff. They have high expectation. Learning and development opportunities must add value to all stakeholders and equip care and accommodation providers and staff with the knowledge and skills needed to safeguard and promote the welfare of their players.

Our clients rely upon our experience to support them to shape their Learning and Development Strategy and develop and deliver bespoke events that builds safeguarding competence and supports their business goals.

Recruitment, selection, assessment of suitability, supervision & review of care and accommodation providers

Our clients need to recruit and select the right people to provide care and accommodation for their elite athletes, and turn to us to support them to analyse the data, observe the trends and shape their recruitment strategy.

Once recruited and selected, we support our clients with rigorous processes to collate and analyse data and make evidence-based recommendations about the suitability of applicants to become registered care and accommodation providers. We support our clients to provide sector-leading induction, training, supervision, and annual reviews to ensure the continued suitability of their providers.

Independent Social Work

Those who commission us need expert witness assessments in family proceedings. We specialise in assessments of parenting, particularly so, where concerns arise regarding mental health & personality disorder, substance misuse, domestic abuse, and attachment-related concern. We also provide Reunification and “Together or Apart” assessments to advise the court on children’s placement options.

Setting up a children’s home or supported accommodation, and improving your children’s home

Investors and organisations wishing to set up a children’s home or supported accommodation in England and Wales need to understand the sector, market conditions and trends, and the legal requirements to register with Ofsted.

We have decades of sector-specific expertise, and provide comprehensive support to investors and organisations, including, market analysis, business planning, financial forecasts, analysis of funding options, and company formation, through to registration with Ofsted, and post-registration support through to first inspection.

Our consultants offer business acumen, sector-specific safeguarding and child welfare expertise, and psychotherapeutic insight to ensure that our clients are well-positioned to offer trauma informed, children services.

Some children’s home providers experience difficulties and struggle to meet the needs of children in their care and are rated by Ofsted as “Inadequate” or “Requires Improvement to be Good”. In these circumstances, an Improvement Plan is devised needing urgent remedial action. Our consultants know the inspection framework used by Ofsted, they have developed expertise in moving beyond auditing, and provide the challenge and support organisations need to make required improvements to deliver trauma-informed care that meets children’s needs in a timely manner.
